Domingo Antonio Núñez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Domingo was born on July 13, 1939, in Dominican Republic, to parents who instilled in him values of love, kindness, and resilience, traits he carried throughout his life. He was one of 11 children, surrounded by a large and loving family from the very beginning. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Altagracia Núñez, for over 55 years, their bond a testament to enduring love and commitment. Domingo had a special bond with his sister Ana Luisa Núñez, his sister-in-law, Ana Mercedes Brache, and his brother-in-law, Juan Brache. Their support and presence in his life were a blessing that he cherished deeply. As a father, Domingo was a guiding light and a source of unwavering support to his children, Edgar Núñez, Ariel Núñez, Massiel Núñez and, a devoted father figure to his nephew, Luis Cotes. Ariel's wife, Celena Núñez, was also a cherished member of the family, adding her love and support to Domingo's life. Massiel's partner, Richard Diaz, was embraced as part of the family, their bond a reflection of Domingo's inclusive and loving nature. Cynthia Cotes, Suzie Brache and Belinda Rivera were also significant parts of Domingo's life and family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and strength that will continue to inspire his family for generations to come. Domingo's legacy extends to his granddaughters, Morgan Núñez, Avery Núñez, Emma Núñez, and Zoe Núñez, as well as his extended granddaughters, Ariana Cotes and Samantha Cotes, whom he all adored and cherished. Domingo's warm smile, gentle spirit, and generous heart touched the lives of all who knew him. He had many quotes & sayings but among the most meaningful was what he would say throughout his life and especially during his final years, “It is better to give than to receive”. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. Though Domingo has bid farewell to this earthly journey, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. A memorial service to celebrate Domingo's life will be held on Friday, April 5th from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at Volk Leber Funeral Home in Teaneck, NJ. The funeral mass will be at St Peter’s the Apostle Church on Saturday, April 6th at 10:00 am, followed by burial at George Washington Memorial Park. Domingo nació el 13 de julio de 1939 en República Dominicana, de padres que le inculcaron valores de amor, bondad y fortaleza, rasgos que llevó a lo largo de su vida. Fue uno de 11 hijos, rodeado de una familia numerosa y amorosa desde el principio. Fue un esposo devoto de su amada esposa, Altagracia Núñez, durante más de 55 años, su vínculo es un testimonio de amor y compromiso duraderos. Domingo tenía un vínculo especial con su hermana Ana Luisa Núñez, su cuñada Ana Mercedes Brache y su cuñado Juan Brache. Su apoyo y presencia en su vida fueron una bendición que él apreciaba profundamente. Como padre, Domingo fue una luz guía y una fuente de apoyo inquebrantable para sus hijos, Edgar Núñez, Ariel Núñez, Massiel Núñez y una devota figura paterna para su sobrino, Luis Cotes. La esposa de Ariel, Celena Núñez, también era un miembro querido de la familia y aportaba su amor y apoyo a la vida de Domingo. El novio de Massiel, Richard Díaz, fue aceptado como parte de la familia; su vínculo era un reflejo de la naturaleza inclusiva y amorosa de Domingo. Cynthia Cotes, Suzie Brache y Belinda Rivera también fueron partes importantes de la vida y la familia de Domingo. Deja un legado de amor, sabiduría y fortaleza que seguirá inspirando a su familia para las generaciones venideras. El viernes 5 de abril se llevará a cabo un servicio conmemorativo para celebrar la vida de Domingo de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en Volk Leber Funeral Home en Teaneck, New Jersey. La misa fúnebre será en la Iglesia de St. Peter’s the Apostle el sábado 6 de abril a las 10:00 a. m., seguida del entierro en el George Washington Memorial Park.
