Margaret Mormino

Margaret “Marge” Morea Mormino, 95, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Marge was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Mormino, in 2000 and her son Richard. She is survived by her devoted children Jo-Ann (Bruce), Frank (Terri), Joseph (Laura), and Anthony (Anna), her cherished grandchildren Nicole, Kenny, Tracy, Anthony, Frankie, Ashley, Kerrysa, Kelly, Dana, and Christopher, and her 18 great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of pride and joy. Born on September 6, 1930, to Anthony and Nicola Maria (De Tomaso) Morea, Marge was one of 17 children. She is survived by her brother Dominick Morea and her sister Vivian Thornton, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Marge was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, just blocks from Yankee Stadium. She worked as a secretary in Manhattan before marrying her childhood sweetheart and neighbor, Joe Mormino, on September 16, 1951. In 1960, they settled in their home in Oradell, New Jersey, where they raised their children and created memories for more than 62 years. During that time, Marge became a cherished part of the River Dell Middle School community. In 2022, Marge relocated to Brandywine Assisted Living in Wall Township, where she once again found a warm, caring community she proudly called family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (G-G Ma), Marge’s greatest joy was caring for those she loved. Sunday dinners were a cherished tradition, bringing together family, friends, and neighbors alike. She was truly the heart of her family—her kitchen forever filled with warmth, laughter, and the unmistakable aroma of her legendary meatballs. Marge enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, playing Skip-Bo with her grandchildren, knitting, cooking, baking, and tackling crossword puzzles. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Game Show Network, but nothing delighted her quite like scratching lottery tickets. Marge was deeply loved by all who knew her, and her warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family will never be forgotten. She will be profoundly missed.
