Noemie M. Laguerre

"When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation, And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. Then shall I bow, in humble adoration, And then proclaim, "My God, how great Thou art!"" In 1943 an angel was born. Noemie M. Laguerre blessed and loved her family for seventy six short years. She was a wife, a mother, a friend, and a teacher. She loved helping people and was a devout Roman Catholic, who loved the Lord. It is with great sadness that we announce her passing on January 27, 2020. The love that she gave will never be forgotten. Her smile lit up a room, and her beauty was timeless. She was an exceptional woman, and she will forever live in our hearts. Noemie M. Laguerre was a certified home health aide for over 20 years. During her employment for Patient Care and Bayada Nurses, she provided love and care for numerous patients. In addition, she was extremely generous and made numerous donations to charitable organizations. Our special guardian angel, Noemie M. Laguerre, is survived by her husband of forty nine years, Roland Laguerre, her two daughters Guerda Laguerre-Beckett and her husband Charles D. Beckett II, and Judith Laguerre. Her in-laws Charles Beckett Sr. and Rosetta Rollins-Beckett. Her brother Jerome Joseph as well as the entire family currently living in Leogane, Haiti. Her loving niece Vivianne Lafaille. Her godsons Alan Altine and Elyze Lafaille. A special mention for Marlene M. Charles and her family, Dominique and Frank McGuire, and the Simeon Family. She is survived by brothers and sisters in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Serge Laguerre, Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Laguerre and Mr. and Mrs. Painson. In addition, close family and friend, sisters Amelida and Bertha Delis. Her nieces and nephews: Jeffrey Baron, Samuel Lafaille, Joel Lafaille, Naomi Beals, Orpa Lafaille, Seth Lafaille, Tamar Lafaille, Esther Calderon, Bithja Lafaille, and Athalie Lafaille as well as their spouses, significant others, and children. Curie Painson, Claudie Painson, Woody Laguerre, Serge Laguerre Jr, Rigal Jean Baptiste, David Jean Baptiste, Karen Jean Baptiste, Nathalie Laguerre-Calixe, Katia Delis, Emmanuel Laguerre Jr, Carl Laguerre, Annie Laguerre, as well as their spouses, significant others, and children. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, kind gestures, prayers and love received during this difficult time. Visitation from 4-8pm, Friday, February 14 at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck. A funeral service from the funeral home Saturday, 9am, then to St. Anastasia RCC for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
