Olympia Lynn Nobile

With profound love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the heartbreaking passing of Olympia “Lynn” Nobile. Lynn was the youngest of nine children born to Maria and Emanuel Cirenza in Brooklyn, New York. She deeply treasured her Italian heritage and faithfully carried forward the traditions and values instilled in her by her family throughout her life. Her devout love for the Sacred Heart and for Angels was beautifully displayed throughout her lovely home. A devoted student, Lynn attended Catholic schools and graduated from St. Brendan High School as a Leo Honor Scholar. She later graduated from St. John's University and continued her education at the American Institute of Banking. She began her professional career on Wall Street with First National City Bank (Citibank), where she was selected as “Miss First National City.” Lynn met the love of her life Bud, a nuclear engineer, at an Italian Board of Guardians cocktail party at the Granada Hotel in New York. One year later, they were married at the same venue, beginning a loving marriage that would span sixty wonderful years. Together, they first made their home in New Milford, New Jersey, where they happily raised their four children: Lillian, Chip, MaryAnn, and Michael. Lynn was deeply involved in her children’s lives and school activities, generously giving her time and energy to countless fundraisers and events for cheerleading, soccer, marching band, and PTA programs. The family shared many happy summers together in the Catskill Mountains and later at the Jersey Shore in Point Pleasant Beach. After raising their young family in New Milford, Lynn and Bud moved to Oradell, where they resided for the past 45 years. After dedicating herself to raising her children, Lynn entered the field of real estate as both realtor and broker. Following in her father's footsteps, who inspired her love of real estate, she achieved much success and earned numerous honors throughout her career. While working at Century 21, she became a consistent member of the Million Dollar Club and was the recipient of the prestigious Century 21 International Award. Her hard work and natural ability to connect with people made her beloved by clients and colleagues alike. Lynn was blessed with nine grandchildren whom she adored: Melissa, Jennifer, Melanie, CJ, Michael, Sandy, Summer, Magnolia, and Michael. Coming from such a large family herself, she treasured her many nieces and nephews and took immense pride in all of their accomplishments. She was blessed with a life filled with love and joy. She expressed her love through cooking, hosting gatherings, and bringing family together around the table. A true matriarch, her greatest joy in life came from her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Her warmth and vibrant personality made a lasting impression on all who knew her. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone she met feel special and loved. Whether meeting someone for the first time or spending time with a lifelong friend, she had a way of making each person feel cherished as though they had known her forever. Lynn fought a difficult battle with cancer, but her strong faith kept her spirits high at all times and inspired those around her. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, strong faith, generosity, elegance, and unwavering love for others. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched. Lynn was predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate, Bud, a gentle, kind, and loving husband, father, and cherished “Papa Buddy”; her parents; her father and mother-in-law Emanuel and Lillian, Her brother-in-law and wife Vincent & Jeannette; siblings Michael, Lucretia & Michael, Elena & Ralph, Anthony & Bea, Gloria & Albert, Guido & Elena, Enes & Anthony, Gil; her cherished nieces Gloria and Gina, and nephews Michael, Arthur, Tommy, Anthony, Adam, Marc and Eddie; in-laws Olga and Joe, Diana, Vinnie, Betty and Phil, and Brian. She is survived by her children, Lillian and Greg (Thomas), Chip and Donna, MaryAnn and Larry (Wilderotter), Michael and Megan, her precious nine grandchildren, her grandson-in-law, Anthony, her sister-in-law Bea, many nieces and nephews whom she will always adore and love, and cherished friends, especially Mary Beth, Ginger, and Vito. Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 4PM - 8PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11AM at St. Joseph's RC Church, Oradell. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park. Paramus. In lieu of flowers, donations in Olympia's name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38101 and are appreciated by the family.
