Parampil M. Varghese

Mr. Parampil Mathen Varghese, fondly called “Kunjutty” , left us on Monday, Nov 18, 2024, at the age of 76. Born Feb 6th , 1948, at Parampil Thekkethil House, Kadampanad, Kerala, Varghese was the third child of the late Mr. Lukose Vaidyan and the late Mrs. Sosamma Lukose. He was a cherished brother to the late Ms. Kunjamma Lukose, late Mrs. Thankamma Panicker, Mrs. Mariamma Kurikesu and late Mr. George Lukose. Varghese married Sosamma (Ammini) on April 14th, 1975, and moved to the US, in 1977. Varghese and Sosamma, build their family with a deep Christian faith as its foundation. This unflinching faith in God almighty was the cornerstone of his life. He was a loving father to his children, Deny and Desy and their spouses, Gladis and Lijo. He was the beloved ‘Appacha’ to his four wonderful grandsons, Jayan, Lucas, Peter and Jonah. He was also a loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Known for his calm demeanor, Mr. Varghese’s hallmark was his willingness to help anyone and everyone. He was also known for his dapper dressing sense. However, his most recognizable quality was his innocent, genuine smile, that could brighten up even the darkest rooms and melt even the hardest of hearts. He was also an ardent Football fan and a staunch supporter of the New York Giants. His another well-known passion was his love for cars and driving. He was also known for his flavorful culinary skills. Varghese was also a longtime and devoted member of the Mar Thoma Church. He was a member of the St. Peter’s Church, Teaneck, for a long time and most recently, a member of the Zion Mar Thoma Parish, in Teaneck, NJ. His faith was a central part of his life, and he made every effort to attend services, reflecting his unwavering commitment to his spiritual belief. But his dedication to supporting his family was always his priority. Varghese was a man of few words, but his actions always spoke louder than his words. His selflessness was most evident in the way he always put the happiness and well-being of others above his own. He always supported and cared for his family, siblings and friends in countless ways, throughout his life. Varghese was an epitome of a true gentleman. He was well respected and admired for his generosity and integrity. He never held grudges with anyone, always spreading happiness, love and the goodwill of our God almighty. His caring nature was evident in his interactions with family, friends and more importantly, even to absolute strangers. Parampil Varghese will be sorely missed and forever remembered, for his quiet strength and the love he brought to everyone around him.
