Victor Lagomarsino Jr.

Victor Lagomarsino, Jr. 98 of Jupiter, Florida, formerly of Union City, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at home. Victor is survived by his wife of 72 years, Grace, Daughters Lynn Lagomarsino (Bruce Raimy) of Naples Fl. and Diane (David) Wilcomes of Upper Saddle River, NJ; Daughter-in-Law Christina Lagomarsino of Randolph, NJ: Grandchildren Michael (Audra) DiNanno, Marc (Jill) DiNanno, Dana Wilcomes, Christopher Lagomarsino and Samantha Lagomarsino: Great-grandchildren Giavanna, Santino and Lucas DiNanno. Victor was preceded in death by his brother James and son Victor III. Victor enjoyed a multitude of hobbies, including bowling, skiing, fishing and golf. Family and friends would gather on his boat “The Grace” for trips up and down the Hudson River and weekend trips. He organized the “President’s Weekend ski Trips” which included family and friends for many years. His true passion was golf even serving as President of Haworth Country Club. His greatest joy was in teaching and playing with his grandchildren. Victor enlisted in the United States Navy incorporating his love of both country and seas. He became a communications officer on the USS Hissem, serving numerous tours in the Pacific during World War II. He enjoyed telling stories of his time in the Navy. After the War, Victor followed in his father’s footsteps and began working at the New Jersey Soap Company. Victor was the President of New Jersey Soap Company, a family-owned business until his retirement in 1989. The following year Victor and Grace settled down in Jonathan’s Landing. Victor and Grace enjoyed playing golf, traveled and made many lifelong and treasured friendships Victor was a symbol of strength, dedication and hard work. He was a kind, compassionate and generous man. He served as a great role model for his family and friends. The lessons he exemplified will forever be engrained in the hearts and minds of his family. He will be sorely missed by family and friends but never forgotten. The love of his life was Grace (Rae); his best friend for over 72 years. He showed his love for her each and every day and always made her feel special. As a couple they served as an example of what marriage and life together represent. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 5-8PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Madonna Church on the Hill, 2070 Hoefleys Lane Fort Lee, NJ 07024. Interment to follow in Madonna Cemetery.
