Vincent C. Grillo

It is with extraordinary sadness that the Grillo family announce the passing of Vincent Grillo, age 83, of Lakewood, NJ and New Milford, NJ. Vincent passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Vincent was born in Hoboken, NJ to Frank and Marie Grillo on April 25, 1939. Vincent was smart, driven and hard working. He enjoyed his long and successful career on Wall Street. He was an Assistant Vice President at W.E. Hutton & Company and a Vice President at White Weld & Company. He was President of the Dividend Division from 1980-1981. Vincent, later, was President and Owner of Delta Temps until he retired. He was an avid, professional sports fan and he was especially fond of Thoroughbred Horse Racing and a Friday night fixture at the Meadowlands Race Track. He also loved gaming in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, and could usually be found at the Craps table. He was also an excellent bowler and participated in various bowling leagues over the years. Vincent was a gifted singer who liked to perform at family weddings and parties … usually belting out a Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett song to the delight of all. He was known to many of his close friends as “Hawk” … as he had a keen eye for details and was a force to be reckoned with. He was a romanticist and a loving, generous soul who made his mark … and had an impact on those who knew him. Vincent was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and nephew. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Grillo, his mother, Marie Grillo (nee Magarelli) and his brothers: Salvatore, Frank and Mario. He is survived by his beautiful, devoted and loving wife of 63 years, Eileen (nee Jarvis), his children, Glenn, Laura and Vincent, his son-in-law, Howard Waldrop, his daughter-in-law, Jessica (nee Rodgriguez) and his grandsons, Vincent and Jared. Vincent enjoyed his golden years at the Enclave in Lakewood, NJ and without any doubt, he was very happy there. He made many new friends, joined several clubs and committees, and absolutely loved his new home. Vincent was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
