William A. Goode Jr. "Bill"

Bill Goode (62) a life-long resident of Little Ferry suddenly passed away on February 3, 2021. He was the devoted husband of 37 years to Maryann (nee Pettigano), loving father to William Joseph (Billy), Jason, Kelsey Oates and her husband Ian. Bill was born on June 15,1958, the beloved son of Mary Jane Goode (nee Beronio) and the late William A. Goode, Sr. He was the cherished son-in law to the late Joseph and Sophie Pettigano. Bill is survived by his three loving sisters and their husbands, Laura Goode (Raymond Koonce), Jeanne Keating (Rob), Maureen Valentinetti (William), and his In-Laws Lawrence and Nancy Pettigano. Dearest uncle to Darryl, Courtney, and his buddy Thomas John. Fun-loving Grandpa to his two Grandpups Max and Charlie. He is also survived by many cousins and life-long friends who will miss him dearly. For the past several years, Bill worked as the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor for the Weehawken School District. Prior to that, he served in the same capacity for the Little Ferry School System. His original career path began when he started an apprenticeship with Plumbing Union Local 14 and eventually became a partner in his dad's plumbing business. Anyone who knew Bill knows he didn't love anything or do anything half way. He loved his family and friends tremendously. He loved music. He loved everything Bruce Springsteen having attended dozens of concerts from the best seats in the house and knowing every song he ever recorded. Bill enjoyed taking family drives to Asbury Park with hopes of meeting his favorite artist. If you think Lemon Ice, Lobster Bisque, and B&W jelly donuts, Bill Goode will come to mind. He had a larger than life personality and he will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, 3-7PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck. Funeral service Wednesday, 10am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
