Cristina Dimitui Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Our beloved mother, Cristina Dimitui, after a long and fulfilling life, sadly passed away on June 13, 2022, at the age of 92. She was adored and will be missed terribly. She will be joining her beloved husband, Rustico Dimitui, in heaven, who passed in 2019. Her children and their spouses survive her; the eldest is Myrna and Santos Rodriguez, then Amando and Cora Dimitui, followed by Chuchi Padilla, then Jaina and John-Eric Vallarta, and then Anthony Dimitui, and her youngest son Ferdinand Dimitui. Her visitation will occur at Volk Leber Funeral Home in Oradell, NJ, this Friday and Saturday. Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 20th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bogota, NJ, and then interment at George Washington Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. Cristina was born on 28th July 1929 in Pampanga, Philippines, to Vicente and Victoria Catu. She married Rustico Dimitui in 1953 and raised six children. They immigrated to the US in 1981. She was a homemaker and took care of all her grandchildren and other parents’ children. Nanay (as we called her) was known for her loving hands and excellent culinary skills. The family’s words about Nanay can be summarized in one statement, ‘Nanay was one of the kindest, loving, and generous people you could ever meet; she opened her heart and home and took care of many children over the years, and she will be sorely missed.
