Dalila Muniz Bermudez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dalila Muniz Bermudez was the beloved wife of Pedro Bermudez Carmona. She is survived by her daughters Wanda Bermudez and Sonia Bermudez, her sister Fela Muniz and her brother Casildo Muniz; Grandchildren Anthony, Jazlin, Nicole and Juliana, and great grand-daughter Naomi Fe and their many nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly. Dalila was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and was one of thirteen children. At the age of seventeen she moved to Brooklyn, NY where she worked as a seamstress for many years. At twenty she met the love of her life, Pedro, and the two of them married six months after meeting. They raised two daughters together in their home on Classon Ave. Brooklyn, NY. Her daughters remember their Mother as hardworking, smart, having a funny sense of humor, and an amazing cook of authentic Puerto Rican food. They remembered her for working long days at her job and balancing being a devoted wife, mother, and host of family gatherings in their home – We all have wonderful memories of her Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners – they were legendary and will be missed. What will be missed the most is her smile, sassiness, and candid jokes. In her retirement years, she enjoyed hosting family at her home in Trujillo Alto, PR. Her grandchildren have some of their best childhood memories spending time with their grandmother in PR- making arepas, preparing pasteles, and watching her favorite novellas. They also loved taking road trips with their grandmother and grandfather across the island to spend time on the beach and visit family members. A woman who loved and helped all who came to her. We will all miss the matriarch of our family, God Bless you.
