Ellen C Farmer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ellen C. Farmer, 66, beloved sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on October 17th,2021 with family by her side after a quiet, hard fought battle with cancer. One of seven children, she was, without question, 'the best'. Predeceased by her loving parents James and Catherine Farmer, she leaves behind her sisters and best friends, Terry Murphy of River Edge, Nancy McCormick of Warwick, NY and Kathy Cusick of Cornelius, NC; brothers Steve of Hackensack, Ed and his wife Ruth of Sarasota, FL and Jim of Sarasota, FL; fourteen nieces and nephews, including Jane Murphy of River Edge and Claire Murphy Knott of Lake Mary, FL. Ellen was a loving, doting second mother to Claire and Jane and will be missed beyond measure. She had fifteen great nieces and nephews and the newest additions, Connor and Owen McCormick, gave her great pleasure in her final months. A graduate of Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing, Ellen was an RN before entering the business world. For the past nineteen years she was a Realtor with RE/MAX Real Estate Limited of Oradell. She was a consistent top producer in the town of River Edge and was known for her integrity and client-first philosophy. Among family and friends, Ellen will be remembered for the sharp wit behind her quiet demeanor, her generosity and selflessness. We will miss her signature dance moves and magazine worthy hors devours creations. She brought so much joy to our lives. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 21st at 10:30 AM at St. Peter The Apostle RC Church, 445 Fifth Avenue, River Edge. Family will receive friends at 10 AM in church.
