John E. Rohack Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rohack, John E., 87, of Oradell, died on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Mr. Rohack was born in Passaic and moved to East Rutherford as a boy. John graduated from East Rutherford High School in 1952 and entered the US Army during the Korean War shortly thereafter. After serving his country overseas for two years, John returned to New Jersey and worked as an electrician for several years before joining the Oradell Police Department in 1964. He soon moved to Oradell and over the next 34 years John rose through the ranks of the Oradell Police Department before retiring as Police Captain in 1998. Mr. Rohack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (nee Borecki), his son, John, his daughter Cindy and her husband Robert Czaplicki, his brother, Robert and his wife Liz, and five grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell, NJ on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Assumption, 29 Jefferson Ave, Emerson, NJ on Friday, March 25, at 10AM. Interment will immediately follow at Westwood Cemetery, 35 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ.
