Adrienne I. Rubinsky

Adrienne Ivy Rubinsky aged 64 of Hackensack New Jersey passed away on November 3rd. 2022. Adrienne was born on May 6th 1958 in Brooklyn New York to parents Murray and Gloria Rubinsky who are deceased. Adrienne enjoyed a close and loving relationship with her stepfather Edward Steinfeld who is also deceased. Adrienne was married to the love of her life, Ana Aguilar, with whom she spent seventeen wonderful years. Adrienne attended Evander Childs High School from which she graduated in 1975. Adrienne attended Lehman College where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree. She continued her education at Hunter College and upon completion she was awarded her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Adrienne was a dedicated and passionate social worker who always advocated for her clients. Her father used to say that she was in the business of saving souls. She worked for the New York City Department of Education for 30 years before retiring in 2013. Adrienne was an avid reader devouring books such as thrillers, nonfiction and mysteries. Adrienne was also keenly interested in politics and was very knowledgeable about current affairs. She loved discussing the controversial issues of the day. Adrienne’s love of music reverberated within her no matter the genre. Indeed this was also a reflection of her openness to diverse cultures, foods and people. Adrienne loved people and took the time and interest to get to know them. Suffice it to say that she was a class A quality person. She made friends wherever she went and she will be missed by everyone who knew her. Adrienne is survived by her devoted wife Ana and their fur baby Chuli; her sister Paulette and brother in law Mazi; her sister Heather; her niece Anusheh and nephew in law Mike; her brother Richard; and stepsister Jan; her in laws Flory, David and Abuela. Special friends Toni, Stephanie, Debbie, Renee, Deanna and Jane. Family and friends are invited to visit from 11AM-12PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck, NJ 07666. A chapel service will begin at 12PM and interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
