Jamil Moore

Jamil Moore, of the Bronx , New York, fell asleep in death on December 18, 2015 at Bronx Lebanon Hospital with his fiancé, Regina Farrell, by his side. He was born June 16, 1977 to Monique and Ralph Moore at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. As a young boy, Jamil liked to entertain and was always involved in school plays. He performed while attending PS 321 and William Alexander JHS 51 both in Park Slope Brooklyn. Jamil received his GED in June, 2000. In the pursuit to enrich his life and his children's lives he decided to go back to school and received his Associate’s in Business, Bachelor’s in Business Management and Master’s in Human Resource Management from the Keller Graduate School, all the while working a full time job and spending time with his children and family. Jamil worked at American Girl Place for several years while obtaining his degrees. After receiving his Master’s, he went on to work at Axelon as a Senior IT Recruiter on Wall Street for 3 years until his untimely death. Jamil’s first priority in life was his children and family. He loved to travel, dance, and was a dapper dresser. He was currently training to compete in a NPC Physique Competition in March, 2016. Growing up he was an avid skateboarder. As an adult he loved paintball, dancing, and anything that brought him closer to his children and loved ones. Jamil met his fiancé , Regina, on October 27th, 2013 through their mutual friend Jonathan Oliva at a birthday party and have been together ever since. In April 2014 Jamil proposed to her and she accepted. They traveled to Puerto Rico in April 2015 where they had a religious commitment of their love for one another. Jamil was an only child but his first cousins Jasmine, Michael, Tamika, Cheyenne, Dwight, Sydney, Daisy and God-sister Alexes were like his siblings. Jamil was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Estella Terry, paternal grandparents Daisy and Sidney Ash, and Uncles Gerald and Samuel. ********************************************************************* He leaves behind to cherish his memory: His mother Monique and father Ralph, his three children, Justice-Anthony, Harmony-Angelique, and Oliva-Trinity and the love of his life, Regina. His Aunts Tina, Kim, and Lena as well as his Uncles James and Randolph and his precious dog Gambino. His Special Aunts Diane Mascarinas and Allegra Maple. Special friends include: Jonathan O, Edna, Jorge, Jose, Armando, Lorraine, Jonathan M, Gen, Ron, Federico, Kalif, Pete, Jen, Willie, Dee, Akif and every life he has ever touched at Axelon, Monroe College, and American Girl Place. Also left behind are Great-Aunts, Great-Uncles, and a host of cousins and friends.
