Lily Psztur

Lily McNulty Psztur of New Milford, NJ passed away peacefully on February 14, 2016 (Valentine’s Day). She was born on Staten Island, NY on January 26th in a year she would never tell. She went to Hunter College. Lily met the love of her life, Walter M. Psztur, while they both worked at The Chase Manhattan Bank. They were married on January 19, 1952 at St. Peter’s R.C. Church on Staten Island, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter and her grandson, Robert M. Guerra, Jr. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Duke and her husband Dale of Portsmouth, VA, Elizabeth Kane and her husband Dennis of New Milford, NJ, Walter Psztur, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Dumont, NJ, and Patricia Guerra of Warwick, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Dennis Kane, Jr., Kayla Psztur, Marissa Perry, Nicholas Guerra, Sean Kane and his wife Tannya, Joseph Guerra, Christopher Duke, Maggie Kane and John Guerra. Lily had two great-grandchildren, Marvin and Ivanna. Lily was the cherished sister of Charles McNulty, the late Sean McNulty and Emmett McNulty and his wife Evelyne. She will be truly missed by her dear friend, Margaret Ennis, who considered Lily her sister and her many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family and friends will always remember her stories and her great Irish wit. She loved reading, traveling, swimming, dancing, eating chocolate and shopping on QVC. She was always convinced that she would win the Publishers Clearing House prize. Most of all, Lily loved her children and all her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00- 8:00 at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ 07649. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 300 Elm Street, Oradell, NJ 07649. Interment will follow at George Washington Cemetery in Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, 2nd Floor, Bethesda, MD 20814 would be greatly appreciated.
